Stop Cigarette Advertising in Indonesia! We request, with all due respect, for the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to implement a complete ban of cigarette advertising in all media broadcasting and other outlets. Additionally, we ask the local government of Jakarta to deny permission for cigarette advertisements to be placed in outdoor media, including billboards and videotrons. This will set an example for all other cities in Indonesia. Currently, Indonesian children are the target of tobacco advertisements that flood our environment, from television to social media. We must protect the next generation from the dangers of tobacco use by banning cigarette advertisements. Please ban all tobacco advertisements now for the future of our nation.
